Brown Sugar Muffins

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. wheat flour
1/2 c white flour
1 tsp bkg. soda
1/4 tsp salt
raisins

Combine all the ingredients except raisins in a large bowl. (I like Bosch mixers, but kitchen aides are great too) make sure everything is well mixed, then add as many raisins as you like. Grease a muffin tin. Scoop about 3/4 of the way full for each muffin. Bake 375 for 15-20 min.

Variations:
nuts
brown sugar on top
dab of margarine in bottom of each muffin tin (adds a little 'pop')
